Housed in the former Green Lane Union Sunday School in southeastern Pennsylvania, Tierney Guitar Company grew out of my years in instrument repair — from working as an in-house guitar tech at DiPinto Guitars to running a busy repair business of my own in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia.

After more than a decade spent repairing and maintaining instruments, along with a stretch at C.F. Martin & Co. I have witnessed first hand what holds up over time. Much of my inspiration comes from early-1900s parlor guitars a time when design, tone, and materials found a natural balance. My goal now is to build on that foundation, shaping a philosophy that honors those traditions while creating instruments for modern players.
